About Sherie Gross

Sherie Gross is a personal trainer and life coach who lives in Santa Clarita, California. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiology and is currently completing her degree in Kinesiology. She is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, and holds advanced certifications in Nutrition, Physical Therapy, Child Fitness and Nutrition and Personal Training.

After 25 years of struggling with her weight and suffering from coldness, numbness, hair loss, stomachaches, acne, sinus infections, depression, heavy menstrual bleeding and countless other aches and pains, she was finally diagnosed with hypothyroidism.

“One day my normal doctor was out of town and so they sent me to another doctor. I explained to him how I was feeling and he decided to do some hormone tests, which included all of the thyroid tests. When he called me to tell me that my thyroid was not working correctly and that he was surprised that I had even been able to walk in his front door, I realized I owed him my life.”

Through vigorous research and dedication to this disease, which ultimately claimed her mother and brother’s lives, she has helped to diagnose a number of her clients, as well as to set up the Susan J. Slayton Foundation for Low Thyroid Awareness.

Sherie’s work at the gym has put her in contact with an inordinate amount of clients who have also struggled with their weight over the years without getting any results. Sherie’s mission is to help those with hypothyroid get diagnosed and to arm them with as much information as possible in order to maintain a healthy thyroid.
